M.O. Sabraw, a longtime California jurist who presided over a famous kidnapping case and whose descendents include several judges, died Nov. 30. The cause was cancer, which was diagnosed in May. He was 87.
Sabraw, called "Mo" by his friends and colleagues, was a beloved figure at the trial and appeals courts, where he served for a total of 20 years.
