State judges get first raise in 5 years

Judges had not had a pay increase for the past five years, despite other state workers enjoying small raises.

California judges are set to get their first raise in five years, thanks to a deal brokered by the Judicial Branch and the California Judges Association with Gov. Jerry Brown's administration. An even bigger raise is planned for the near future.
