U.S. Supreme Court affirms 9th Circuit in natural gas price-fixing case
State antitrust claims that natural gas traders fixed prices during the energy crisis from 2000 to 2002 can go forward despite protests by the traders that the claims are preempted by federal law, the U.S. Supreme Court held on Tuesday.

State antitrust claims that natural gas traders fixed prices during the energy crisis from 2000 to 2002 can go forward despite protests by the traders that the claims are preempted by federal law, the U.S. Supreme Court held on Tuesday.
The 7-2 ruling affirmed a 2013 decision by the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals. Oneok Inc. v. Learjet Inc., 13-271.
