Recalling a judge would be an extraordinary sanction

Recently, a petition drive was begun to recall Superior Court Judge M. Marc Kelly. Many voters, alerted by the media and piqued by politicians who are painting the judge as a weak, soft-on-crime reprobate who deserves to be tossed off the bench, are unsure whether to be indignant at the judge's actions or those of the politicians supporting his recall.
