Former wrestlers' suit alleging concussion problems borrows from football cases

A lawsuit filed by retired wrestlers seeking to hold World Wrestling Entertainment Inc. accountable for concussion-related health problems similar to those faced by football players may face challenges, legal observers say.

A lawsuit filed by retired wrestlers in the Central District of California seeking to hold World Wrestling Entertainment Inc. accountable for concussion-related health problems has all the trappings of claims made by NFL players. The wrestlers describe playing "through the pain," inadequate medical monitoring and insufficient information about the risks of concussions.
