Hulu victory in privacy case could provide boost to other defendants

Hulu LLC's defeat of claims it shared information about what videos its users watch with Facebook Inc. knocked out the use of a nearly 30-year-old statute in cases involving Internet video streaming.

Hulu LLC's defeat of claims it shared information about what videos its users watch with Facebook Inc. should give video streaming companies stronger defenses against similar claims going forward, attorneys said.
