L.A.'s First Judge Was a Son of Mexico, Father of California

LOS ANGELES - The vibrant Olvera Street, a colorful pedestrian-only plaza of souvenir shops and Mexican restaurants near Union Station in Los Angeles, is named after Agustín Olvera, the first elected Los Angeles County judge.
