'Permatemps' Sue County After 11 Years

Two men who have worked for Los Angeles County for 11 years without employee benefits finally said "enough" Wednesday. John Holmgren and Michael Sheppa joined former county "contract worker" Keith Johnston in filing a lawsuit challenging the county's policy of "permatemping" workers to deny them equal pay and employee benefits. Holmgren v. County of Los Angeles, BC240954 (L.A. Super. Ct., filed Nov. 29, 2000).
