A Turkey for Edwards Sooy & Byron
Edwards, Sooy & Byron, whose roots date back to the late 1970s, is dissolving this week. "The primary reason [for closing] is the economic picture in respect to insurance-defense firms," said Richard Sooy, who will be opening his own firm with four associates. Sooy cited a number of factors, including increasing overhead, rates that are "flat at best" and more competition - all of which "makes it less and less profitable."
