Firm asks to resign from Bratz case

Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP requested late Friday to resign from representing Bratz manufacturer MGA Entertainment Inc. in its battle with Mattel involving the dolls because of alleged non-payment of $4 million in legal fees.

Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP abruptly filed court papers late Friday requesting to resign from representing Bratz manufacturer MGA Entertainment Inc. in its litigation with Mattel over the dolls, accusing MGA of refusing to pay the firm nearly $4 million in legal fees.
