Judge dismisses suit over iPhone apps

A federal judge has dismissed a putative class action that claimed Apple Inc. and eight mobile media companies wrongly collected and disclosed customers' personal information.

A San Jose federal judge on Tuesday dismissed a putative class action that claimed Apple Inc. and eight mobile media companies wrongly collected and disclosed customers' personal information. U.S. District Judge Lucy H. Koh will allow the plaintiffs to amend their complaint.
