No shortage of bankruptcy developments in 2014
Although the economy is recovering, and bankruptcy filings are down, there was no shortage of complex bankruptcy-related appellate decisions last year.

Appellate courts decided claims relating to real property, secured transactions, family law and probate, among others. Recurring themes emerged, including the authority of a bankruptcy court to enter final judgments and the liability of a nondebtor party in possession of bankruptcy estate property.
