Settlement reached in suit against fuel providers over leaded gas in aircraft

In an attempt to speed the removal of lead from aviation fuel, a California nonprofit on Wednesday announced it had settled a lawsuit it filed against several fuel providers under the state's unique toxics warning law.

While lead was taken out of gasoline long ago, small aircraft still rely on it. But in an attempt to speed the phasing-out of leaded aviation fuel, a California nonprofit Wednesday announced it has settled a lawsuit against several fuel providers under the state's unique toxics warning law.
