Little change in number of judicial discipline cases

There were slightly fewer instances last year of judges being censured for inappropriate behavior than there were in 2012, according to the latest report from the Commission for Judicial Performance.

Roughly 1,200 complaints of judicial misconduct were considered by the Commission on Judicial Performance last year, resulting in 120 inquiries and investigations. Overall, the commission disciplined 30 judges, with two more leaving the bench while their cases were still pending.
