Legal Advice for Less Than a Latte

Annie Thorkelson, disillusioned with the inaccessibility of the legal system after 25 years in practice, has returned to what brought her into law: helping people who otherwise would “fall through the cracks.” Sitting in a San Francisco café behind a sign resembling the psychiatric booth set up by Lucy in the “Peanuts” comic strip, Thorkelson gives legal advice to people for $1 a minute.
