Judge Throws Out Seven of Nine Claims in Sony Lawsuit

SAN FRANCISCO - A federal judge has wiped out the bulk of Sony Corp.'s copyright and trademark suit against Connectix Corp. in the wake of a February appellate decision that significantly expanded the "fair use" doctrine in reverse engineering of products.
