DA Slips Out of Office, Retires After 33 Years

Sterling "Ernie" Norris, a highly regarded Los Angeles County prosecutor who obtained a death verdict in the 1980s against Freeway Killer William Bonin and was instrumental in the passage of California's victim's bill of rights, has retired quietly after 33 years on the job.
