Rampart Papers Remain Under a Protective Order

A Superior Court judge has left in place a protective order on documents in the case against four Los Angeles Police Department officers ensnared in the Rampart corruption scandal, but said she would lift the order if defense attorneys can show the documents already have been publicly disseminated as have others that were leaked to some in the media.
