Judicial Inspiration
The following is an edited excerpt of a speech given by Richard M. Mosk before the California Supreme Court on Jan. 7. For the first time in California history, the California Reports published the transcript of a 'celebration session' honoring the record service of a sitting justice. Justice Stanley Mosk surpassed the previous 35-year record tenure set by Justice John Schenk on Dec. 26, 1999. In 1998, he was re-elected for a new 12-year term.
