High court rejects appeal despite requests from both sides

The state Supreme Court has denied an appeal in a death penalty conviction even though both the defendant and the attorney general's office asked the court to look into problems of juror misconduct in the case.

SAN FRANCISCO - The state Supreme Court has denied an appeal in a death penalty conviction despite requests from both the defendant and the attorney general's office that the court look into problems of juror misconduct.
