Susan A. (name has been changed) was a veteran registered nurse and a good employee at a medical facility that provided services to elderly patients. After a string of bad luck, Susan A. found herself in financial dire straits. In her desperation she swindled patients into providing her "emergency loans" that she could not repay. This is one example of elder abuse.
