Commission approves news rules for investigating judges

Judges will get more protection in investigations under new rules adopted by the Commission on Judicial Performance, but the California Judges Association says the rules don't go far enough.

Judges under investigation for misconduct will have more up-front information about the accusations against them and other added protections as a result of new rules adopted by the Commission on Judicial Performance, the commission said Thursday.


However, the set of revised rules failed to completely satisfy the California Judges Association, which had asked for broader measures.
