SAN FRANCISCO - A long tradition of male domination pervades the rural village in Cameroon, but a young rape victim and a long-suffering wife come to the courthouse anyway, seeking justice against their male oppressors. Manka, a 6-year-old waif with haunted eyes, is found wandering the streets, desperately fleeing the brutality of a sadistic aunt.
