Researchers at NeuroSigma, a small medical startup in Los Angeles, say they have pinpointed a tiny zone just above the brain stem that, if sprinkled with electricity, could control hunger and metabolism. They hope it will be the next wonder therapy for obesity and help the company grab a slice of the multibillion-dollar pie that is the weight-loss industry.
