State Bar's spending on attorney discipline under budget

Slower than expected filling of supervisory attorney positions was cited as the main reason.

The State Bar spent about $1 million less than budgeted on its attorney discipline system during the first three months of the year, mostly because of slow hiring of supervising attorneys, according to a report submitted to the state Supreme Court Friday.
