Appellate Panel Tosses Conviction for Medi-Pot

      James Lavell Harris had used marijuana all his life for chronic pain. So when he was sentenced to serve time in the Lake County Jail, he informed the sheriff that he planned to bring a supply of the drug with him.
      Harris was told emphatically - no way. And when he showed up with the drugs in April 2005, he was promptly charged with a felony.
