Wine fraud is on the rise. Americans are drinking and collecting more expensive wine than ever, resulting in a flood of counterfeit wines in the marketplace. The problem, moreover, is hardly limited to the United States. Several recent cases in China, where new money has generated a new taste for fine wine, demonstrate the international scope of the challenge.
