Just under half of students who graduated from California law schools last summer - 48.9 percent - had full-time, long-term jobs as lawyers by this winter, new data from the American Bar Association shows.
Even so, the employment figures for the graduating class of 2012 are a bit improved from last year, when only 46.5 percent of California graduates found good lawyer jobs.
