State Supreme Court rejects appeal from woman who sued Lucasfilm for discrimination

The state Supreme Court let stand an appellate court's decision to wipe out a $1.2 million verdict awarded to a woman who sued Lucasfilm Ltd. for pregnancy discrimination.


The case pitted Julie Veronese, the daughter-in-law of former San Francisco Supervisor Angela Alioto, against the studio of famed Star Wars filmmaker George Lucas. Veronese v. Lucasfilm, S208118.
