Bill would give State Bar more power to go after unauthorized practice of law

Legislation expected this month would give the State Bar new authority to pursue the unauthorized practice of law, including collecting fees, costs and restitution for victims.

The State Bar would have greater ability to battle the unauthorized practice of law under proposed legislation set to be introduced later this month.
