Fax in Chevron Case Shows Protesters Were Unarmed

Twelve hours before Chevron called upon the Nigerian military to subdue 150 protesters occupying an oil platform, company officials told U.S. embassy representatives that the protesters were unarmed and that the situation was calm and would be resolved soon.
