The state of California is in fiscal crisis, with no extra funds for education, health care and other critical social issues that continue to plague our society. Yet, Proposition 9, also called The Victims' Rights and Protection Act or Marsy's Law, is on the ballot. This ill-conceived and disingenuous proposition will actually cost taxpayers more money than it claims to save, all in the name of "victims' rights."
