False Police Report Law Won't Get Nod From Supreme Court

WASHINGTON - The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday denied review of two free speech-related cases from California. The first was an attempt by state Attorney General Bill Lockyer to resuscitate a California law making it a crime to file a false complaint alleging misconduct by a police officer.
