Youth Crime Initiative Meets With Mixed Views

The 16-year-old San Bernardino girl who was arraigned Friday on charges of stabbing her newborn daughter to death in the bathroom of her home March 7 may be fortunate that she gave birth before the clock struck midnight. The decision of whether she will be prosecuted as a juvenile or an adult will be made by a judge instead of the district attorney.
