Yahoo Settles Suit by Jailed Chinese Journalists

Yahoo Inc. settled a federal lawsuit with two jailed Chinese journalists Tuesday in a deal that sets no legal precedent but could spur similar lawsuits and get companies to pay more attention to how they do business overseas, legal observers say. “After meeting with the families, it was clear to me what we had to do to make this right for them, for Yahoo and for the future,” said Yahoo CEO Jerry Yang, right, with general counsel Michael Callahan.
