New U.S. Plan for Detaining Immigrants Is Short on Specifics

Federal officials unveiled plans Thursday to overhaul the nation's troubled immigration detention system but offered few specifics on how it would be funded.

Federal officials unveiled plans Thursday to overhaul the nation's troubled immigration detention system, vowing greater oversight and protections for those fighting deportation orders or seeking asylum.
