State Joins War On Consumer Arbitration

The San Francisco city attorney's office, which filed a lawsuit last year on behalf of state residents against the National Arbitration Forum, says its case is now stronger than ever because of recent decisions handed down by the courts.

SAN FRANCISCO - As Washington considers clamping down on mandatory consumer arbitration and two of the nation's largest dispute resolution firms have voluntarily gotten out of the consumer business, California is still pushing forward with its own battle against the practice.
