Plotting a Fresh Attack on Damage Caps

The Consumer Attorneys of California has begun a new push to topple the state's restrictive cap on damages in medical malpractice cases through the courts.

Some might call Robert S. Peck an ambulance chaser's chaser. But the Washington D.C. lawyer says his mission is constitutional reform.

Peck is trolling California for sympathetic victims who have lost limbs, been disfigured or left disabled by grave medical mistakes - patients whose cases might compel the state's high court to re-examine whether limits on medical malpractice awards are fair and legal.
