'Birther' Fails to Persuade Court

An Orange County lawyer involved in the so-called "birther" movement failed Monday in her attempt to persuade the U.S. Supreme Court to intervene over a $20,000 fine a federal judge imposed on her for frivolous litigation on the issue.

WASHINGTON - An Orange County lawyer involved in the so-called "birther" movement failed Monday in her attempt to persuade the U.S. Supreme Court to intervene over a $20,000 fine a federal judge imposed on her for frivolous litigation on the issue.

Orly Taitz of Rancho Santa Margarita could also face disciplinary action in front of the California State Bar.
