Harmony Grove, others now covered by Rancho Santa Fe fire service

The plan will bring the residents in County Service Area 107 — including Harmony Grove Village and Elfin Forest — under the coverage of the Rancho Santa Fe fire service instead of their existing volunteer fire departments.

Harmony Grove Village will be serviced by the Rancho Santa Fe Fire Protection District, beginning Dec. 31, thanks to a property tax exchange approved by the County Board of Supervisors on Wednesday.

The plan still needs to go through the Local Agency Formation Commission, but it would finally bring the residents in County Service Area 107 - including Harmony Grove Village and Elfin Forest - under the Rancho Santa Fe fire service instead of their existing volunteer fire departments.
