Six California trial courts generally complied with a recently passed law governing purchases by the judicial branch, the state auditor said Tuesday. However, the auditor also noted some slip-ups, including a few instances where courts did not explain why they awarded contracts to businesses without considering competing bids or omitted to report some spending.
