Court restricts efforts to keep class cases in state court

SAN FRANCISCO - The 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals has delivered a setback for plaintiffs wanting to keep their class actions in state court.


A three-judge panel ruled Tuesday that a labor dispute originally filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court must return to the Central District of California despite arguments by the plaintiffs that their lawsuit meets standards to remain in state court. <...
