Bid to overturn CEQA court ruling running into trouble in state Legislature

A bid by environmentalists to force public agencies to look at the environment's impact on a proposed development project, such as rising seas or air pollution, is faltering in the state Legislature.

A bid by environmentalists to force public agencies to look at the environment's impact on a proposed development project, such as rising seas or air pollution, is faltering in the state Legislature.


One such bill failed to make it to a vote on the state Senate floor Thursday, killing its chances for the year. Another bill is due for a vote in the Assembly today.
