Riverside officials face onus of litigation over cross on public land

After receiving threats of a lawsuit over an alleged violation of the Establishment Clause, Riverside city officials have said they will consider selling the land on Mount Rubidoux that contains a cross to avoid legal consequences.

On a breezy Wednesday morning, dozens of hikers climbed the slope of Riverside's Mount Rubidoux, following the path beaten down by generations before them.
