Judge trims sanctions awards in Apple-Samsung case

A San Jose magistrate judge awarded sanctions against Apple Inc. and Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. for separate pre-trial discovery squabbles in the smartphone patent trial last summer, but knocked down the amount on both sides for the lack of specificity in their invoices.
