Recent upheavals in the Middle East have caught the attention of the Middle Kingdom - but the reaction is a lot more nuanced than the clichéd portrayals shown in the U.S. media.


China's reaction to events in North Africa is, obviously, secondary to news of the actual uprisings. Still, international media has looked for reactions from the world's second largest economy. And it is reporting back only part of the picture....
