Nearly All Judges Forego Day's Pay
More than 93 percent of Los Angeles Superior Court's 550 judges and commissioners took a voluntary pay cut for July's furlough day, in solidarity with the 5,400 court employees who must forego a day's salary each month to reduce a $79 million budget shortfall in the nation's largest trial court.
