Bay Area Mourns Loss of Longtime Cancer-Patient Advocate
Philip A. Harley, a partner at Oakland's Kazan, McClain, Lyons, Greenwood & Harley who litigated on behalf of cancer patients for the past 25 years, died July 2 after a brief but aggressive bout of malignant melanoma. He was 61.
