Committee Says Judges Should Reveal Donations, Be Evaluated
Concerned the public is virtually blind to the abilities and political allegiances of judges, a state committee has recommended judges provide full disclosure of campaign contributions to parties that appear in their courtrooms and that all judicial candidates in a contested election - even sitting jurists - be subject to publicly-disclosed evaluations.
