Unions Resisting Closure Deal for Courts
A day after the Daily Journal reported officials had reached a deal to close the state court system's $393 million budget gap, the California Sheriff's Association said it would explore legal action if the Legislature adopts the plan, which calls for closing trial courts one day a month, dipping into technology and construction funds and increasing court fees.
